Ok, you said that with Rayne you would like Show lines but with her sister you want to go with working lines. Any particular reason? (Just being nosey. ;D) I guess the main reason is the final goal is to be the infamous Golden Middle. Rayne has the best overall structure of the three girls and we will work on improving the structure through her but would like to keep the working drive as well as improving the structure via the other two as well. I do tend to prefer the working lines and overall look. I am very content with my dogs that have the mix of Show and working lines even though most people prefer one or the other I have had the privilage of being around a lot of the dogs in my guys pedigrees and alot of their siblings. While I know many in their pedigree may not be titled- I have seen many of them work and even knowing what I know today (which is a lot more than I knew when I got my first Shep) I do not think I would change anything.

I appreciate all of the replies I have had so far and now I am about to ask for some more of your PERSONAL opinions on a particular dog. What about V-1 Zulu Von Beluga? Has anyone seen him in person? Any of his offspring? What are your impressions and personal opinions? Thanks in advance. actually i am very good friends with the decoy that works this dog on a very regular basis, and although he is a die hard working line owner, he says that this dog could very well give the "big boys" a run for thir money at the nationals! he always raves about how NICE and STRONG this dog is...he has stated many times zulu is very much a "for real" dog that could easily be taken and worked on the street as a very good dual purpose K9. he really likes zulu a LOT..definatley a working fool!

I really don't have a lot to contribute as I'm not too familiar with lines, etc. but I do like Zulu (you already knew that though ). He's a very handsome boy with some outstanding accomplishments.

Anyone else with comments on any of the males listed? Any other suggestions for a predominately working line girl?

I am new here so I am assuming "paper" breeding is merely hypothetical. I am only jumping in here because of the comment on the "tracking" score. The male I just bought is a son of SCHH3 (SG-BSP) V(BSZS) Jeck von der Bildeiche. He is V- Isai vom Gäinsbachtal SchH3, KKL1-A Normal LBZ Here are some of his scores: SchH1 96-84-97, SchH2 99-86-96 SchH3 100-87-97, SchH3 99-93-97, SchH3 100-90-96 He also has his RH1 which I believe he received a 100 in tracking as well. I don't have his Kor report here, but this was what was forwarded to me originally: Upper-medium large, expressive male with high wither, firm back and good croup placement, Good structural proportions, straight front, good firmness of pastern and very good angulation of the front and rear hand, with clean movement the gait is powerful with very good roominess. TSB Pronounced. Outs correctly. Special attributes: A harmonious, well pigmented male with especially praiseworthy working traits. I bought him with the intention of getting into the sport with a nice quality dog to work, he has a wonderful nature and hopefully will teach me alot. I have a special interest in tracking and perhaps SAR training, which part of the reason behind my decision - I did not intentionally purchase him as a stud dog.
