Well, there's nothing wrong with his plumbing!
I don't know there's much you can do with a sloppy dog. The dog apparently dosn't care.

Mine is similar--at 16 months he is learning to lift his leg, but so far doesn't know how to do it without spraying the other 3. Don't know why he doesn't smell bad, but he doesn't! Maybe he cleans it off himself.
Also, he seems to have ENORMOUS holding tanks. On a single walk he can pee full force for a minute or so 3 times (plus marking sprays, off course). It's embarrassing. The other dog owners think I never let the poor guy out, even though he stays outside most of the day!

Also, he seems to have ENORMOUS holding tanks. Reminds me of a Gary Larson cartoon. A pair of dogs are outside the house. The male dog has the garden hose in his mouth, drinking. The female dog, looking very irritated is saying, "Going out for a night on the town, are we?"

My male did the same thing. He is now around 20 months and has learned on his own to move his back legs out. He use to pee on his front feet and look down in horror and try to walk away. As long as he wasn't peeing on my feet I didn't consider it a big problem. He learned on his own how not to pee on his feet. I did hose his feet off.

yes, put us in this category too. Er...my pup, not me! ;D 99% of the time, Cougar (13 mo) hikes his rear leg up but still aims forward and not to the side. Usually hits the front feet. He doesn't have any older male companions to teach him the ropes about marking things, or he'd probably pick it up quicker. Eventually, with age and hormones, most boys figure it out.
