Yesterday while out for our usual morning walk my beautiful baby boy died. He came running towards me and just collasped at my feet and died. Chad was only 13 months old and had showed no sign of being ill. How can this happen? Life is so so cruel at times. My heart is broken into a million pieces. My Chaddy boy I am so sorry mom couldn't save you. We had less than 12 months together but you packed so much into that short space of time. You thought me it was possible to love again because after losing Ace I didn't think I could. You came into my life like a whirlwind and just swept me off my feet. I will miss you more than words can say, I know Ace, Peata and Millie were there to greet you at the bridge. I love you Chad and will always treasure you in my heart.....all my love mom xx hometown.aol.co.uk/chadgsd/images/chadbullnov23.jpg [/img]

Oh Dear,
We too have tears in our eyes for you and your beautiful friend. The grief is just as bad (I think!) as losing a human baby. God Bless him. To a practical side - this may sound callous at such a bad time for you, but perhaps you would do the breed a service to have an autopsy on him to find the reason, and the owners of the parents notified if it could be a congenital fault, at least his passing could possibly help others. Just a thought.
Our hearts bleed for you, and we know exactly how you are feeling.
Kind and caring thoughts, from
Sunny and John

Hi Paula
I don't know what to say, it's hard to type through the tears.
Just remember that yes you have lost a child after all Chad was your baby. Most people now know that the loss of a loved pet is just as devistating as loosing a relative. Allow yourself time to grieve.
Please let us know if you find out what caused Chad's death. He was a very special part of your life.
Wishing that I had a magic wand and could make your pain go away.
My thoughts re with you tonight.

It's so hard to lose a beloved pet, especially when they are so young and it's unexpected. My thoughts go out to you.

Oh, I'm so sad to hear this, Paula, as I know how you loved Chad, and after losing your beloved Ace, this is unbelievable! My heart is breaking for you. We had a similar experience with a six month old puppy. Please know that I care for you. If I could give you a big hug right now, I would.

Fate can be so cruel, but as you come to terms with your grief try and look for the small mercy in this. At least your beautiful baby didn't suffer.
It is love that makes the pain of loss so acute, and makes us vulnerable, but none of us would change that.
We are all so very, very helpless at a time like this.
Jane.

Paula, I'm so very sorry for your loss. There's just nothing that I can say except that hopefully it won't be long before the good memories can cloud over some of the pain. You'll always miss him.
Take care of yourself. <hug>

I'm so sorry. I, too, lost a very young dog very suddenly for no apparent reason. The shock takes a long time to get over, the sense off loss even longer. Keep in your heart the wonderful time you had being his person. A gsd is the best friend you can ask for, and they make equally perfect guardian angels. Somewhere, your boy is still with you.

{{Paula}}, I am just in shock! I am so sorry for your loss...he was so young! When I had Goldens, I disagreeumption always was that my old, overweight, cranky female would go first. It was such a heartbreak to me when my beloved Jack, my 6 year old heartdog, died suddenly of heart failure. Sometimes, life just doesn't go the way we planned. My heart goes out to you...
