I was searching up on the net for this one woman who asked questions regarding to bloating, as she expects her dog has bloat. This website should be fully printed and to be given to their potential costumers, clients, yourself, etc. I recomment everybody to take some time to visit this website to learn more about bloating and how to pervent it from happening it to your dog. I sincerely hope that the woman took her dog immediately to the vet and didn't wait to see how this plays out, or look for information. The difference between life or death in a bloating dog is as short as minutes.
This line in your link really says it all for me:
"Although we have summarized information we found about possible symptoms, causes, methods of prevention, and breeds at risk, we cannot attest to the accuracy."
No one has the definitive answers on this subject, and it'll be a blessing if they ever do come up with them. Even the link they provide is so subjective. They ask if my dog eats faster than average. I have no clue how fast the average dog eat the same food and as mine
Either way, best wishes to your friend and her dog.

How did your friends' dog do Brittney?? I hope he/she is OK~!!! Let's hope she wasted no time getting him/her to the vet, as bloat is very fast acting, and could lead to death in a matter of minutes!! Thank you so much for the link! I supply my puppy buyers with as much info on on our wonderful breed as possible! Most people arn't aware of bloat/torsion. It is good to have as much info as possible for them...the more they know, the better they will be!! I found the info on bloat to be very informative!! Thanks so much!!!!

Brittany,
Thanks for that information - I have never had a dog that has shown symptoms of bloat, but have heard of many cases, and more so, years ago.
Two elevated food and drink stands that I use have just been thrown into our dumpster!!!
Kind regards
John

I'd actually seen this article before somwehere and as I use elevated food stands for both my dogs I was quite concerned.
However, I have continued to use them ( unlike our John's who are in the bin). I am not convinced :)Sadie who is my Gt Dane mix and is over 8 years old finds it much easier to eat when the food is elevated.
I guess with bloat the jury is still very much out.
