I understand that personal protection dogs and SCHh dogs are differant. IM just curious if a schH dog could do PP and vice versa?

That would depend on the dog.I do have a SchH titled female, who is also my own personal protection dog.And I am currently working my young male in both.

They are different in that SchH is a sport martial art. Personal protection is a tactical martial art. A dog qualified in SchH, provided it is civil, would potentially make a good candidate for PP, but would need advanced training.
A PP dog could compete in SchH, but that would probably degrade its PP skills, as they train differently.
If you have a PP dog, or a competitive SchH dog for that matter, you will need to commit to a constant training regimen, or the dog will lose its skills and become a couch potato. This is just like taking a martial art. You use it or you lose it.
Train as you fight. Fight as you train.

It all depends on way you train. In schutzhund, all the focus is on the sleeve(the prey item). It's basically a rough game of tug, and the sleeve is the target.
In pp, the focus is on the threat itself. Here, there are so many more variables and endless possibilities. There doesn't necessarily have to be a prey item involved. It could be as raw as taking muzzle bites with no equipment at all.
But like in schutzhund, we go through foundation bitework in prey with pp dogs, to build their confidence in biting. Even street police dogs go through foundation bitework in prey.
