Our costs vary depending on the number of dogs we're feeding, what the butcher has on special, if any of the dogs have special circumstances, etc.
Normally for 8 dogs, we pay about $180 per month. It was more this month because the cost of chicken wings raised outrageously. If we have someone who really needs to put on weight (we've had fosters that needed that) or a gestating/nursing mom then the cost goes up. If I can find a super sale on part of our foods, the cost goes down.

The cost of the diet will vary depending on many things. Can you buy in bulk - say 40 lbs of chicken at a time? If you CAN - the cost will be lower. If not, you will be paying the grocery store cost and that will get expensive. We rasie my own rabbits for the dogs. We also have chickens and ducks for eggs. Any culled birds go to the dogs. Next year my husband and I will both be getting hunting permits and going deer hunting for the dogs. This year we had friends give us their leftovers. It also depends on the supplements you need. I have an older girl that needs more supps so the cost to feed her goes up. Before Tessa died I was giving her ALOT of supps due to her immune system problems. She was an expensive dog to feed - but I'm not complaining. I got 5 extra years with her all thanks to the raw diet! If you are feeding multiple dogs you MUST have a freezer devoted to the dogs food so you can buy in bulk. Otherwise the costs will be very high.

Do you guys happen to have any websites that you get your foods from? Or a store brand that is common, that you think that most states has?
I don't want to be paying my grouchy foods ;/

I live in semi-rural Indiana so just started calling butcher shops until I found one who could provide what we need. For the hamburger and fish, I go to Aldi, it's a very cheap grocery chain, don't know if you have it where you are. You can also look on yahoo groups for a BARF or raw feeding group near you. They often have co-ops. This is one subject, because it's so specific to individual areas where you have to do your own research.
