Grace is now 2.5 weeks old and Cougar (14 mo) has accepted her as his charge. Much to our delight, Cougar is doing so well around her! and here's one of my pretty little doll taking a nap yesterday.

Baby Grace is looking beautiful. Worried now as she's making me think another baby aroound the house could be fun. No, I think after 3 children I had better have puppies instead. How is Cougar with Grace with strangers in the house. I always had to pass them the baby or take them into the babies room my guys always felt that baby should be guarded accept from immediate family. Regards Freundhund

It is impossible to resist a sleeping baby.
She's just precious, Liz! And she's got to be the safest baby in So Cal, with her own GSD protector!

Cougar does seem to be taking his new responsibilities seriously! He went on walks with the baby and me yesterday (baby was in a shoulder sling) and today (in the stroller), and Cougar was intent on walking immediately by my side - or at the side of the stroller...even popped his head inside the stroller occasionally to check on the sweet sleeping occupant! He is "okay" with visitors to the house, although they've all been people he knows. He was a little anxious today when a neighbor he doesn't know as well came to see the baby while we were in my driveway. I told Cougar it was okay, and he layed down RIGHT BY the stroller...as if to say, "I'm watching you - no sneaky moves!"
