We drove to the coast one morning and stopped alongside the winding road near some rock formations for a photo op. A guy set up his drum set and played some killer rock & roll while we were there! It was a quite a unique experience--a little different than planned.

Thank you so much! I was pleased with Boy's response to the experience! He IS a great dog to withstand all of my amateur photographic efforts! I also had him standing on some rock formations, with the ocean in the background, but they turned out rather dark. I'm really glad he was steady as I was standing on the leash handle!

What a super picture!!!!
Lovely 'head shot' of Boy, and great depth of field so that everything else is in focus.
Just a point of interest....How old is Boy?. I notice the gray on the muzzle, and most of my dogs have started greying there at about 8 years on, however Bessie, who is now over 14 years old, still has no gray.
And Fran, I disagree - I am glad there is no sound!!! I have a drummer two houses away from me, who practises almost daily!!! If he were better, I would ask him to do a 'gig' with us now and again, so until then, I will continue to use my Yamaha Electronic Drum Kit to back my keyboards !!!
Thank you for posting this pic - definately a 'keeper' for me!!
Kind regards,
John

Thanks, GSDnut, and everybody for the compliments on the photo and Boy. It was indeed quite an experience, being enveloped in fog and Rock & Roll. If you've ever sang in the shower, you know what I mean about the acoustics. Being a kid in the 60s & 70s, the guy's music really brought my old soul to the surface, all the time having a bonding photo op with my relatively new and tolerant dog, AND learning how to work my new digital camera. With a smile and a nod, I drove away from the little place on the side of the road, and continued down to the ocean. I've got more pictures (of varying quality) with and without the dog that show the huge rock formations that I didn't get in this shot. Email me if you'd like to see them. Regarding the grey muzzle, Boy came to me this way, and I saw pictures of him before he was 4 years old with his grey muzzle AND goatee! At this time, he was about 4 1/2 years old. I think he looks very distinguished, much like Alistair Cooke, don't you agree? Kerry
