posting photos using villagephotos.com

Anyone needing help posting photos using www.villagephotos.com can read this. I have gone through it and tried to write out the instructions the best I could. Please let me know if it doesnt work.

USING VILLAGEPHOTO.COM-how to Upload photos-

Go to Villagephotos.com

Register and Login.

Click on 'Photos'

Upload your photos into whichever album you choose by clicking on 'Unsorted / FTP Uploads' then click on 'Upload Pictures'

Browse through the photos you can upload, select, and then click on 'Upload'

Click on 'Click here to continue' and the photo(s) should be in one of your albums.

USING VILLAGEPHOTOS.COM- how to post your picture on the BB-

Go to 'My Account'

Click on 'Photos'

Choose the Album that the picture you wish to upload is in.

Click on the photo you wish to upload

At the top you will see ' Image URL, Tools, and Resources page' Click on that.

You will see where it says 'Public Image URL' and a light blue URL of your photo you wish to upload.

Highlight and copy that URL.

Back on the German Shepherd Bulletin Board, you will see a little box that has a picture in it. It is located between the Insert ftp link icon and the email icon.

Click on the picture icon and in your message will appear: [image] url [/image]

You need to delete the URL part so it will look like [/img]

In between the two boxes ] [ you will need to paste in the URL of your picture that you copied from Villagephotos.com.

Ok to resize your photos, upload them into your albums using the above instructions.

Click on the photo you wish to post on the BB.

Click on 'Image URL, Tools, and Resources'

Down near the middle of the page you will see
'Resize and/or Compress'. Type in your desired size. When I typed in my chosen width, the program automatically adjusted the height.

Ok, I did everything but I cannot find the box with a picture in it, located between the Insert ftp icon and email icon, which I can't find either.

RE Village photos;

Is it just me, or do other people get the message "The owner of this file has exceeded their daily usage limit. " when I try to view a photo (with a little red cross) by going to "properties" and using the url to look at the photo.

Sometimes the village photo pics are there, but mostly they are not. Anyone else noticed this.....?
