Janis, I will throw in my medical "expertise" here. Antz-freeze most likely would not have effected her focus. Anti-freeze kills by getting into the blood stream (absorbed by the stomach) and causing metabolic shock. The only way it may have effected her is if she had breathing cessation which caused lack of oxygen to the brain, thereby causing brian damage. So, if she was not breathing for a period, this MAY have occurred. But if she was concious, chances are she did not have any brain damge, causing a lack of focus. Are all of her motor skills in tact? (walking, running, barking.etc...) And, were they ever affected? If the answer is no, my gut instinct is that the anti-freeze had NO effect on her brain or "focus". Id say that you just have a very drivey dog there! I had one with similar issues and found a great solution! Before training, i would always walk and or run the dog for about 20 mins. Letting him explore and sniff anything he wanted to. By the time we got back home , alot of the "spaz" was gone and we could train better! Good luck and let us know!

Actually, with a drivey dog, you would use that drive and channel it into focus. That is where you get the better OB. Husband has been doing this for years with his competition dogs. This is also what Flinks and Ivan do.
I have a male that if I worked 1st, I had better focus and attention. If I let him "get it out of hos system" , I ended up with less focus.
Sera is young and is going through a lot of changes.

Sue, any chance you're going to be near BG in the next couple of weeks and could evaluate Sera?
